34 confirmed cases in the United States

On February 21 local time, federal health officials confirmed that at least 34 people had contracted the new coronavirus. Among them, 13 cases were confirmed from overseas returnees to the United States, and 21 cases were confirmed from returnees from China and Japan.
Nancy messianier, director of the U.S. Center for immune and respiratory diseases, said at a news conference that more infections are expected among passengers and quarantined people on the diamond princess.
Mason Neil said the other 10 passengers of the “Diamond Princess” were tested positive in Japan, but they have not been included in the list of infected people because these tests have not been confirmed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and prevention, and they are still in local hospitals in Japan.
