14 cases of overseas import in Shanghai


Novel coronavirus pneumonia was announced by Shanghai Health Protection Committee this morning (March 22nd): 0 to 24 March 21st, 14 cases of imported imported new crown pneumonia were reported through the joint defense joint control mechanism. Case 9 and case 10 are husband and wife, born in Zhejiang Province of China, working in Spain. They left Madrid, Spain, on March 17, and arrived at Pudong International Airport in Shanghai on March 18 after connecting with Hong Kong. After entering the customs, they were isolated for observation. They were diagnosed as confirmed cases based on the epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging examination results.
Case 11, a Guangdong native from China, studied in the UK, left London on March 17, and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on March 18. After entering the customs, case 11 was intensively isolated for observation, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case based on the epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory test and imaging test results.

On March 14, he left London in the United Kingdom and transferred through Helsinki, Finland, and arrived at Pudong International Airport in Shanghai on March 15. After entering the customs, he was quarantined for observation, during which symptoms appeared. According to the results of epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging tests, it was diagnosed as a confirmed case.

After entering the customs, he was isolated for observation. He was diagnosed as a confirmed case based on the epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging results.
Case 14, a German citizen, visited his relatives in Switzerland. On March 19, he left Zurich, Switzerland, and transferred to Shanghai Pudong International Airport after passing Bangkok, Thailand. After entering the customs, he was isolated and observed. He was diagnosed as a confirmed case based on the epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging results.
14 cases of confirmed imported cases from abroad have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, 120 close contacts with the flight have been traced, and centralized isolation observation has been carried out.
No new confirmed novel coronavirus pneumonia was confirmed in 0 – 24 March 21st. As of 24:00 on March 21, 338 locally confirmed cases and 0 locally suspected cases have been reported.
From 0 to 24 o’clock on March 21, 1 case was cured and 1 case died. The death case was a 75 year old male patient with bladder cancer. He suffered from respiratory failure on February 1, and died in the morning of March 21. As of 24:00 on March 21, 327 cases were cured and 4 cases died. There are 63 cases in hospital (including 55 imported cases), of which 55 cases are stable, 1 case is severe and 7 cases are critical.
